Hi people, it's my first thread. Today I purchased a yixing chinese teapot from Ukraine on Etsy. The seller say I needed a payoneer account using a credit card, they don't use paypal. I've had troubles to make the account and never used a credit card, mine is a at home and I'm not yet until next sunday.I'm a bit stressed because I never use a credit card so I request advices and keys to Yi.I'm a bit stressed about if I will not have trouble.I got hexagram 50 for the actual one and 56 for the future hexagram. My impression are I shouldn't be so stressed just because of a purchase but I'm not sure. Is the feeling mutual?
Met a very interesting man, the first guy I've been really drawn/attracted to in a very long time. It seems the feeling may be mutual, but I am unsure. He was full speed ahead then full stop. So... that's the question. It seems that the casting shows backward movement on the one hand (from 53.5 to 52 - Gradual Progress to Stilling) on the one hand; on the other I feel that the reading is telling me to just be still, be patient, and all will be well. But I'm new at this and don't want to read "be still" instead of "move on" if that's the answer... Help?

This system
The Nanjing rules have been mentioned in some previous threads here and there. You can get an idea of the theory behind it by reading the account of one of those who worked on it: Shih-chuan Chen. It is based on some extant results of divination from a reputable source, of which Wikipedia says, "For many centuries, the Zuo zhuan was the primary text through which educated Chinese gained an understanding of their ancient history." In this text, the divination always results in a single line changing, and some other results from a related source show that even in cases of no lines or multiple lines changing, the diviner mentioned that they had received an "8" (a single line) for the reading. The rules are based on the same numeric theories behind the yarrow stalk method, which are mentioned in the Ten Wings. It shows how a single line may be derived, which can be any of 9,8,7 or 6, and which accounts for all the extant readings of the ancient diviners. If you are one of those who for some reason, and contrary to Hilary, find single line results of interest, this sounds like something worth looking into. This is a brief account, which doesn't go into the significance of the numeric theory, but in this respect is no less credible than the yarrow stalk method itself.

As for five elements, the arguments against it can be refuted by the evidence of the Ten Wings as well. Hello again! Hope everybody is doing great. I have a friend who needed my help with an IC reading she pulled herself. There is a guy she plans on going on a date with, so she asked the Yi, will Mr. J get back to me and confirm the date? I see line 4 as a positive thing, but that he will get back to her at the right time (he is not a robber, but a suitor...he will woo at the right time...it is not enmity, but a love marriage.) Also its funny how the Yi mentions how she might view him as a robber, because she did tell me she wasnt sure if his intention to date her was all that serious or honorable. 40.6 to 64 How fitting
A 3 year relationship I had ended 6 months ago very suddenly and abruptly and I am sure I have asked way to many questions to I-ching. I have received some more positive answers and some more negative answers about what's going on, why did this happen? Every way you could phrase a question about a relationship I have done, even the dreaded yes or no questions. Trojina, Rosada, Willowfox, Bradford, and so many more have enlightened me so much on reading so many of their posts in exploring divination and here in shared readings, I thank you for all the years all you have contributed.Long story short, I had gone through quite a depression after this and I'm starting to come out of it hopefully. And I admit sometimes I've had my doubts about the legitimacy of some of this but given the amount of possible combinations of readings and already being a person that believes in a lot of spiritual things some readings today couldn't been more timely.I'm tired of obsessing over this person and I'm finally ready to try to let them go as best I can. In 2018, what should I do if I live majors changes ?

Hello all and as this is my first post in the 2018 - Happy New Year! :) Here is my situation: Tomorrow I am coming back to work after much needed holidays. Through FB work chat I've read about some news from my other teammates that we will be moved to another team leader and as some people already left the company, I would

Currently the weekends are covered by others on a rotary basis, and most people want to do it because its better paid. However, I wasn't working them due to my valvular heart disease. My previous TL knew about it and it wasn't a problem. Then we changed TL once more and this situation never required any action as weekends were covered by others. But the communication in our work is pretty bad so my current TL probably doesn't even know. My condition is not very serious, just one of my valves doesn't work as efficiently as it should. Since last three years I am on a correct way of healing this condition. I won't get a heart attack or faint, I just need to rest a bit more than an average person. So I would rather abstain from working more than 5 days in a row. As this is just a gossip from some of the rather negative teammates, I asked I Ching whether I should start working weekends and received:

Whether I should *not* start working weekends?

After a second thought, I also asked whether I should immediately go to my current TL and talk about this situation, received:

Difficult times
Hi everybody!I'm new to this place and I have never considered taking seriously the I-Ching before, although I heard of it. And read about it. I'm also not an English native speaker, so I'll do my best to explain the problem I face and I hope that somebody who knows better than I do will answer. I'm living in an emotional roller coaster at the moment. I'm deeply, deeply, awfully deeply in love with a man who is seven years older than me. Our love grew apparently from nothing, but the problem is a moral one. I'm married since 2004 and he lost his wife seven years ago. We met in a professional context and we fell in love in time. It was not love at first sight. It took a year to fall in love and two years to have sexual intercourse.This relationship lasted for four years when he suddenly realized that what we are doing is wrong. Well not quite suddenly, we both knew this, but this time he was very determined to end it. I can see that and I'm well aware that was wrong, but the connection and comptibility is/was so strong that I couldn't resist. I love him to the moon and back. But still for many many reasons I couldn't leave my husband. Financial and locative problems and a a big moral one: he is good to me. Two months ago we split because he said that this situation is not healthy, and that he couldn't live like that hiding anymore although, he said, he still loved me, shortly after, he fell in love with another woman who is free and doesn't have my problems. She is everything that he wished for. At the same time he says that our relationship was unique and that he misses me from time to time. We barely talk, but we do sometimes, if I call him. My problem is that I cannot eliberate myself from the daily responsibilities, nor I can't eliberate myself from this unbearbly powerful love that I have for him. He fills my life throught the bones. He broke my heart when I found out that he is in a relationship so quickly after our breakup that supposedly hurt him too, or so he says. He loves her, but he also tells me that there is a part of him that regrets our love. It confuses me a lot and at the same time I can't let go. I've cast the I-Ching and the answer was Hexagram 16 turn to Hexagram 2. Enthusiasm and Earth. I haven't got the slightest idea how to interpret it. It seems that there are many symbols right there that I don't know how to use for my question. The question was: what will happen with this relationship? Thank you a lot in advance! Marina

Continuing job in freelance role? 27.1.6->2
OK, this looks like a big fat NO to me, but I feel so muddled on everything on this front that I need another opinion.
My job is no longer really workable now that I'm a mother, for a multitude of reasons, the most insurmountable being that they are unwilling to honor a prior work from home commitment they made, and they have have added more projects onto my job while I was on leave, to the point that it simply doesn't computethere is no human way to get the work finished in a standard 40 hour week. Perhaps all this is a deliberate ploy to get rid of me (I'm the only mother on staff, and one of the few women), but whatever the case, it's time to go.
Others who have left FT work with them have continued on as project-based freelancers, and my boss has previously said this would likely be an option for me. (Though he's previously said a lot of things and not honored his word, so who knows.) That said, I've watched it work out to be a bad deal most of the timethe freelancers are pushed to work more than they're paid for, and so on.
I asked if Yi had any commentary about me continuing on as a freelancer and, good grief, I drew 27.1.6->2.
I can only remember one previous 27.1 in my 15 years of divining, and it was an odd one: I was about 19, and had ended up at a party where a married man several decades older was making passes at me. Someone mentioned that I used the I Ching, and he asked me to do a reading for him. Awkwardly, feeling like I had no way out of the situation, I did, and he drew this line; he then revealed had made the question about his chances with me :brickwall:. I guess it was a nice comeuppance towards him from Yi. I told him it was a very inauspicious line and he should focus elsewhere.
Anyway, that's all a very tangential way of mentioning the the only time 27.1 has ever appeared for me, that I recall, out of many thousands of castings since. And it was not for me, per se.
And now here it is. I think I understand the line to be about envy, letting your gaze be pulled away by distracting and alluring things for hollow reasons that lead to pitfall, and loss of your core self (magic tortoise/spirit tortoise).

Unclear about 2 in this context.
Thoughts anyone? Should I just cut my losses and get out of there?

I would appreciate a bit of help in regard to, at least for me controversy reading I got.
My question was about the girlfriend I split apart in Sept 2017. She actually finished the very emotionally strong and deep long distance relationship which last bit more then 6 months. No contact ever since.
She is powerful lady, very introvert and quite scared of connecting (Aquarius). I am Pisces and very emotional and have been hurt a lot due to her September cutting of.
She contacted me a few days before and I asked the question what will be happening between us and I got 44.2.6 => 31. Quite scared have to say because 44 is trouble hexagram.
When I asked what would happen if I will contacted her I got 47.2=>45.

Overcoming physical and mental health issues: 34 twice!
A happy new year to all of you! I was hoping some of you might be generous enough to offer some feedback on two readings I cast this morning, both involving Hexagram 34.
I've been going through a period of major anxiety and burnout, and have been having some health problems (digestion, notably, as well as crippling poor sleep patterns) that have helped create a feedback loop of anxiety and health anxiety, low mood and extreme fatigue. I really feel like I'm at my wit's end and can't continue as I have been: I need to make some healthy changes to get myself back on track, and recover physically, emotionally and spiritually from a difficult time. Ironically, I just got married and am extremely happy in my personal life, so feel guilty for having these difficulties. I asked the YI "What can I do to get myself out of this ditch, both physically and mentally"? and received the following.
1. 34 with changing lines at 5 and 6> 1
2. 34 with changing line a 5>43
I like that both suggest power, vigorous force and energy, but ironically, I am at such a low ebb and have so little energy, I'm finding it challenging just to get through a normal work day. The reading feels pretty enigmatic to me, but I do sense it may be about letting go a bit and accepting rather than thrashing around in struggle so much. If anyone has any insight into what the YI is counselling here, I'd so appreciate it.

Hex 57.5 relationship " I want my ex back should I follow my brother's advice ? "
Hi everyone,
this is my first post, I use the Yi since a few years now. An old friend (70+) was using it and taught me how this can be helpful.
I want to share my story about the hex 57.5 I was in relationship for 3 years. She left me in september and 3 weeks later she found a new boyfriend.
In september i asked the yi what was going on and i got hex 41.3 loss and line 3 say i have to go.
Now she wants me to stay a close friend to her but i can't because i have too much feeling for her. I talked with my brother because something seems not finished in my relationship with her.
I made a dream the day she said that it was over with me. It was a bridge like san francisco bridge and he was still in construction. the great water was passing down the bridge. She and I was on the bridge and was waiting for something.
So i asked my brother what i have to do to get back in her life because something needs to be fixed like the bridge !
I asked the Yi " Should i listen (trust) my brother's advices to get my ex back ? " and i have 57.5 => 18
In my opinion the Yi said i have to keep in mind my objective and work on me step by step to heal wounds (hex 18) repair what it need to be fixed !
My brothers said to me to find a new home, show how I am a newest guy who understand what I messed up in my relation and stop talking with her, Time to rebuilding myself, moving on growing up. He added that a women need to see positive changes in a man she has loved. My brothers is deeply convinced that she came back if i follow his advices.

I want to share my story about the hex 57.5 I was in relationship for 3 years. She left me in september and 3 weeks later she found a new boyfriend.
In september i asked the yi what was going on and i got hex 41.3 loss and line 3 say i have to go.
Now she wants me to stay a close friend to her but i can't because i have too much feeling for her. I talked with my brother because something seems not finished in my relationship with her.
I made a dream the day she said that it was over with me. It was a bridge like san francisco bridge and he was still in construction. the great water was passing down the bridge. She and I was on the bridge and was waiting for something.
So i asked my brother what i have to do to get back in her life because something needs to be fixed like the bridge !
I asked the Yi " Should i listen (trust) my brother's advices to get my ex back ? " and i have 57.5 => 18
In my opinion the Yi said i have to keep in mind my objective and work on me step by step to heal wounds (hex 18) repair what it need to be fixed !
My brothers said to me to find a new home, show how I am a newest guy who understand what I messed up in my relation and stop talking with her, Time to rebuilding myself, moving on growing up. He added that a women need to see positive changes in a man she has loved. My brothers is deeply convinced that she came back if i follow his advices.

hexagram of the year 2018 - 8 unchanging
Dear everyone,
in the spirit of a new year I did a reading "what is my hexagram for 2018" and I got hex 8 unchanging. It made sense, because during 2017 I was deeply dissapointed and betrayed by lots of people in my life and I needed to shut so many doors and cut them off. As much as it hurt, now, I feel so ready to welcome new, like-minded people in my life so when I got this hexagram it felt so on target. This is the year for finding my tribe (even more it's a 11/2 numerology year so it all makes sense :claps:). Today, I did another reading, asking "what should I expect if I make this offering?" Once again, I got hex 8 unchanging. I want to start a project and feel very hesitant due to the past experiences where I literally was seeking a union but somehow it didn't happen and I felt I was working with "wrong" people, people that don't understand me, are jealous, not on the same page, not my tribe, ... therefore it was a bitter-sweet experience. But as stubborn as I am, that didn't stop me from trying :) I repeated it three times :brickwall:every time changing and hoping that this time will be different :brickwall:and of course it didn't, even worse.:duh: I think I have learnt my lesson and I really don't want to experinece the same once again but at the same time I really want and feel I should make the offering. What does hex 8 unchanging suggest? Any thoughts?
