I've moved into a granny flat that is not very private, unfortunately. When I'm inside is the only time really I can have my own space as their front door is right next to mine and they spend quite a bit of time outside. I don't really wish to be part of their life in anyway except to be neighbourly and chat in passing but particularly the mother seems to think since I've moved in I should be part of their lives. They've also been inside my flat when I'm not there albeit with good reason but still they didn't ask my permission first. Most days the wife sends me a text of some kind or rather. Mostly I respond but today I didn't bother as it wasn't really necessary.
This evening I'm listening to music in my flat mainly to block out their noise from outside - it was nice classical guitar music, not that loud it would bother them just loud enough for me to counteract their noise. After a while one of them starts playing ukele or banjo or something very, very loudly outside - WTH!!! I don't understand why you would do that. Am I being silly or does anyone else think they might have been doing it to annoy me....
Most people I know don't understand my need for lots of personal space and they can become offended. I did tell her when I moved in I'm quite an insular person and also that I'm studying when I'm not working.
I've asked How can I stop them from trying to get in my personal space 44.4.6>48
Hex 44 - Coming to Meet - seems to me they want me to meet them on some level so I guess that's right
Line 4 - they feel like I see them of no consequence to my life - that's right. They're are useful because of the flat but other than that they have no value to me and the way I see it if I pay the rent on time and look after it nothing else should matter to them.
Line 6 - Says I shouldn't worry about what they want and yes they are very judgmental people, obviously judging the fact that I don't wish to interact with them.
