I have an opportunity to apply for a creative project, so I asked two questions of the I Ching, trying to approach it from different angles. The first was:
"Should I send in my application (sample work, etc.)?" And I got 20.2.5.6 -> 7 (Seeing becoming the Army)
And then I asked:
"What will be the judge's reaction to my application & sample work?" And I got 44.5 -> 55 (Coupling becoming the Vessel). Speaking of a woman of power, interestingly the judge/referee is a woman who holds a lot of sway.
My feeling is that the I Ching is advising me to wait and see what unfolds elsewhere. I have two other irons in the fire elsewhere, and I'm still waiting to see how those potential projects turn out. Of those, one is definitely going to happen and the other I'm still waiting to hear about. This new one I was asking about today has the potential to be bigger than these two and require more time and effort of me, which is what I think the first reading (20.2.5.6->7) is warning me about ... ? And I think the second reading is perhaps explaining why I should wait: that it may not turn out how I expect and may be more than I can handle right now or a flash-in-the-pan connection with the referee (who I would end up working with should she accept my application).
