I thought I will share my cast of this hexagram here even if I am at the very beginning of the insights from Iching. I asked:

What will happen if I go to my friends' leaving party if X is there too?

X meaning my very recent X, with whom I am still in love, the same as him, but he decided that our relationship doesn't work and we need to stay apart and not see each other for some time to heal. Yet our two best friends are having a leaving party, where they here only for one day, so it is today or no day at all. At first I was thinking of not going at all as I am very scared of my emotional reaction, but X said you have to be there for them, we will manage and the friends said that they want me to be there. Until now and maybe still now at subconscious level I really wish to get back together with X and saw this event as an opportunity.

So what I get from the reading is this:

The current situation is conflict - us splitting up. If I go I have to go there for my friends, be there for them and not work towards impressing my ex or getting back together. I am not sure where ancient virtues stand here, but I suppose I always want to keep good relation with people dear to me and whom i care for, so stand by those virtues and be kind towards my ex and my friends and then everything will be ok at the end. But not to wait for praise for this either. It might seem dangerous to go and speak to my ex in this social situation or face this social situation, but if I stand by being kind and friendly I will overcome the danger. Kind of - be submissive to the situation?

I guess after this evening if i decide to go I will have more insights into what it went like. If I dare to go at all!
