Hello everyone, this is my first post. Im confused as to how to understand my reading. My question is: Please give me directions to find our new home. We have been financially in difficulty for some time now, hence living in a caravan. My husband will hopefully be given an employment contract within a few weeks and we hope to be then able to eventually move to a house again. I am so relieved to see 11 coming up for us, but I am still in the same position of wondering what we need to do to get there because I cant figure out how to interpret 41.3, as we are a happy couple, not a threesome or alone. New Business Startup 9.1 > 57
I've been thinking and planning a new business idea and startup since over a year now. But I always had small niggling doubts and was not sure the timing to start it was right. It's completely different and far away removed from my normal range of business activities, and I'd have to commit a lot of time and resources (away from my usual work) to work on this. So I asked the question "Will this new project be a success?" I received 9.1 > 57 .
I'm still very new to the I-Ching, but after doing some reading and research, my interpretation is that there will be success but in very small amounts. I'm now back to my original stance of doubting whether I should go ahead with it and if the "small success" is good enough to sacrifice already ongoing work. Am I right in my interpretation?

Me and my parents had an argument. They have upset me so much. The thing is they are worried that I will stay single, I will not have family because of my age. They press me all the time about this issue and really they make me feel so anxious.
Yes, I want to have my own child but I can't just order a perfect partner for me so as to have a family with!

Move out? 39.2>48
I've been living with my gf for the past year. Now our lease is up next month with an option to renew it, but a few months back we had discussed that I would probably move out because of changing circumstances at work and my desire to move out of the area we currently live in. I'm having second thoughts because I love her and it's going to be painful to move away. I asked, "Is it best to leave or extend lease 1 yr?" and received 39.2>48... Are the obstacles here the changing circumstances at work? There is too much uncertainty on where I could potentially end up at. Then there's also my having second thoughts about the move. I asked a follow up question, "How will living apart impact our relationship?" and received 22 unchanging. I have no idea how to interpret this reading. Is this a positive reading? Or am I being naive.

I have misread many advices given by the Yi in times when I really needed relationships or work opportunities to work. And ended up losing a great deal of time.
Here is a new story.
[Little background, I'm a single mom to a 9 year old, separated little over a year ago, working in a full time job in IT]
So, I happened to work with this colleague of mine on a project; he worked in another city with same company so even though I knew he existed I never got to know him better. During the project we spent a lot of time together and shared many things. I realised he wasn't happy with the job so I pushed him to find new opportunities, and now he's joining a new place, also shifting to my city. My daughter is fond of him and he's really nice with her.
So.. we share good understanding, give space to each other, and so far we are just good friends. Though I do feel more than that for him. I'm not sure what he feels. I think he too likes me, but not to the extent where he would take drastic decisions- in my country seeing an older woman, with a child is such a blunder; he's single and way to younger to me.
Recently I felt he has been keeping a distance. I understand, for him this is a difficult choice.. Or may be he doesn't even like me, and wants to keep a distance now in fear that now that we are in the same city, we shouldn't come closer?
I don't want to go against the flow. If something has to work it will, is what I've come to believe now.
I asked Yi
what should I do? say goodbye or keep hoping?

I think the reading is positive.
41.5 is a line that has come repeatedly while doing readings about him.
I do read the line positively, but is it really good for a relationship?
I do not want to misread - the Yi or him and realise after a year or so that I was reading it all wrong all along :( I have done that once before.

Hello everyone, I have a dear friend who is very unhappy in his marriage. Hes been unhappy for about 2 years, even though the marriage is fairly new (they got married in 2015). Hes also told me that he hasnt cheated on her sexually but is falling for someone else, which complicates things. So I asked the IC if hes headed for a divorce/what he should do and received 59.5. Any thoughts? It seems like a yes, that he will end up divorcing and that he should resolve this by coming clean with his wife and break it off with her.

Hi all..Let me share my case please....After 24 years graduation, a gathering of school friends would be held on mid april 2018. At the beginning, i wasn't interested in spending money just to meet friends i wasn't close to. Then some friends offer their hospitalities so my expense can be cut some. At the other side, i want a break from chaotic mind that haunted me last few months.So i plan to go. The place is hundreds kilometers from city i live now. I would go alone, then on the half of journey, a female friend (i am also female) would join me. I'm a bit nervous so I ask Yi how to make it a nice trip. It advises to be humble, not be show off to avoid predators/cunning persons, be myself, not pretend to be someone else. My suppressed feelings: 10.5 > 38
Hi there. I'm pretty new to I Ching and struggling with what seems to me as vagueness in my reading when trying to apply it to the question asked. I asked "Please help me identify the suppressed feelings I am experiencing in regards to M" and I received hexagram 10.5, which is giving me the most confusion. When I try to interpret the meaning of 10 in context to my question, I only end up with more questions. My relating hex is 38, and I feel it describes my current situation and how I relate to this inquiry very well. But I'm interested to see how others here connect these two together as a whole.
For background on my situation, I recently started dating a close friend of mine that I've known for 3 years. However since we took it to a romantic level a couple weeks ago, I am having a hard time understanding my feelings towards him because they're awfully conflicting. There's a deep love and fondness for this person, however I'm not sure we click romantically. I've been so back and forth in whether being romantic is the right thing to do with him, now I don't know really what I feel about it at all. I'm really confused and remain straddling the fence so to speak. Do I really have romantic love for him and maybe it's fear of intimacy or something making me reluctant to fully get involved with him? Or is the chemistry truly off and I'm just wasting time avoiding the inevitable by staying with him?
I was hoping the I Ching would help me decipher what's really going on with my feelings beneath the surface -- what am I feeling that I'm not consciously aware I'm feeling. To help me decide whether to continue pursuing this relationship romantically... or trying to turn it back into friends only.
From what I see of the hexagrams, using Wilhelm's translation, Hex 10 Treading reflects feelings of being on different "levels" based on societal rank. There's definite differences in incomes between he and I... Or perhaps it relates differences in overall goals in terms of life path or spiritual growth. It mentions that which is strongest and that which is weakest -- could this be how I see he and I as a couple? It also mentions "in terms of a human situation, one is handling wild, intractable people." But is it me who is wild and intractable or him? This could be that deep down I feel I have to act a certain way with etiquette and good form in order to handle the difficult situation...
Hex 10, Line 5 is telling me I feel I must tread carefully in order to preserve my own individuality and authenticity as my true self. It seems there is potential for danger here. Possibly being too resolute by pushing for what's not working, or not being resolute enough and it turns into a codependent type setup of some sort.
Hex 38 relates with the two opposite feelings I hold within now, what's confusing the heck out of me, are pulling me in two opposite directions. If this hex serves as how these feelings will unfold in the future, perhaps I will come to terms that my friend and I are moving in two different directions and will need to part ways. It also could serve as advice that to continue pursuing this relationship, I need to do so in small incremental ways without rushing forward blindly. The Image Commentary of "The two elements, fire and water, never mingle but even when in contact retain their own natures," certainly resonates with me on how I view relationships overall... two people should retain their own natures and be separate elements -- people shouldn't merge together as one, they remain individual driving on their own paths, and in partnership these paths happen to parallel each other so they essential drive the same path together although remaining separate (if that makes sense haha).
I super appreciate any help with this. Or letting me know if what I'm seeing is correct, and if you're getting a different vibe from these Hex's then I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

What is the state of this relationship? 29.1.2.4 into 17
Hello, dear community! I'm not very good yet at listening to the Oracle yet, so I come to you for some guidance. I asked a question to the Oracle today about a relationship I've trying to establish with a girl I know in college. Context: I flirted with her for months since she seemed interested at first. Then her best friend (another guy) got into the fray and very probably swayed her interest away from me. I insisted for some time to no avail and, finally, I gave up internally but decided to keep behaving as had been doing all this time because I didn't want her to think I was being nice just because I liked her. Besides, I won't lie: I still have feelings for her.
She seemed to have decided not to go out with me and we reached a tacit agreement situation in which we both know I was into her but we are just going to be friends. Our friendship was developing and I'm very happy with how things turned out because she's a good person and I'd like to keep her as a good friend. The fact is, we still talk but I'm almost always the one looking for her.
Yet, two weeks ago something seemed off. For some reason she was different. She's always been very nice, comprehensive, very friendly and caring, but I noticed a change. She put up some kind of barrier. You know, like she's still very nice to me, but colder and more distant. It's more noticeable when we text, actually. I've felt really distraught about it. My gut tells me something is wrong and I don't really know if I'm resposible.
I decided to ask the I Ching the following question: what is the status of my relationship with X?The Oracle gave me hexagram 29.1.2.4 as an answer, which turns into hexagram 17.
Would you please help me out with an interpretation? It seemed very strange to me at first because I asked about a "state", a fixed moment in time, and the answer was so changing and unstable with three changing lines.

There is a bit of a backstory but I essentially asked whether anything would happen between me and another person intimately and got hexagram 61 with moving lines 2 and 6, the hexagram then changes to number 3.
When I asked what would happen if I contacted this person again I got hexagram 11.
Any thoughts? Not entirely sure what to make of it all.

A few years ago now, I first noticed the Vessel Casting pattern in the Sequence, and got tremendously excited about it. For the past couple of months, I’ve been developing those ideas and their application in readings for Part 5 of ‘Exploring the Sequence’, which Change Circle members can find here. For this post, I won’t try to discuss the themes and significance and use of it all – that’s in Part 5 – I just want to point to the patterns and wave my arms around excitedly…
In brief… Vessels are made by casting them from moulds that form their reverse image.
The ‘reverse image’ of Hexagram 50, the Vessel, is Hexagram 3, its complement. And every hexagram from 4 to 49 finds its complement within that span of hexagrams, which is interesting. Then there turns out to be a series of structural connections at the outer surface, and also apt hexagram shapes at the centre. But wait, there’s more! Let’s make the connections one at a time…

You can see hexagrams 3/4 standing opposite their complements, 49/50, at one end, and 27 opposite its complement 28 at the other, looking oddly vessel-shaped, or like a casting and its clay mould –

You can imagine 9.4 moves ‘down’ to 44.1, and 10.3 moves ‘up’ to 43.6. Also, they’re exchanged trigram hexagrams – wind and lake above/below heaven. Anyway, they belong together –

This leaves two groups of three apparently-unrelated hexagrams: in my original 2012 article, I said the pattern ‘melts away to nothing’ towards the centre. This, as it turns out, isn’t quite true. Vessels made of bronze have carefully crafted joints hidden beneath the surface, fully visible only to X-rays. And vessels made of hexagrams…?
13/14 stand opposite 39/40, and aren’t (as far as I can see) very related to them. It’s 15/16 that connect to 39/40: 15.5 > 39. Oh, and 15/16 also connect by a single line change to 35/36: 15.1 > 36. Isn’t that pretty?![]()

Ah yes. There they are.
The ancient Chinese crafted vessels with exceptional skill, using techniques that would not be understood in the West for centuries…
Instead, it offers a creative, shifting play of relationships and broken symmetry, that’s all inextricably woven together with the meaning of the hexagrams. Yi is an oracle, after all, so the patterns it makes must surely be meant to speak to us in readings – if we can just develop the ears to hear. I’ve written much more on this in Exploring the Sequence (Part 5, on Vessel Casting, is over 7,000 words…), but I wanted just to share the pattern here. Isn’t it beautiful?

What can we make of this?
This pattern of relationships – which I freely admit looks like a dog’s breakfast with the boxes and lines I’ve scrawled all over it – beautifully represents something I’ve come to love about the Yi. This is not a model of perfect mathematical symmetry; it doesn’t take a single principle of transformation or relationship and use it with rigid consistency. You couldn’t analyse or reproduce it with a computer program.Instead, it offers a creative, shifting play of relationships and broken symmetry, that’s all inextricably woven together with the meaning of the hexagrams. Yi is an oracle, after all, so the patterns it makes must surely be meant to speak to us in readings – if we can just develop the ears to hear. I’ve written much more on this in Exploring the Sequence (Part 5, on Vessel Casting, is over 7,000 words…), but I wanted just to share the pattern here. Isn’t it beautiful?

51.3-4-6 to 22 what things should I do now?
happy Easter forumians :)
since my love questions were never good but I'm still feeling still in every domain of my life, I asked this important question about my current overall situation: where should I focus? what things should I do?
The reason is that i'm feeling like i'm wasting precious time.
the answer was: 51.3.4.6 which becomes 22. I think that it isn't saying i'm wasting time, but i'm getting anxious for nothing...i think it says something shocking will happen but it won't mess up my things that much. I don't know if it is positive, but could you say what exactly I should do in life? I dont know, any activities relate to thunder hexagram...

Hexagram 47 unchanging for land purchase
Is this a definite no?
I have been wanting a place in this neighborhood for years and finally have a rare opportunity.
There were a few parcels that came up together and my reading for one of the smaller ones was amazing Hexagram 50.6 but someone got it first.
The Reading for this one, (still available) next to it was 47 Unchanging though.
The situation with the bigger one is more complex since i would partner with someone and then divide it later.
I've done lots of research and that seems costly but easy to do for that parcel.
Any insight into Hex 47 unchanging would be super helpful right now.

Help!! a dauble is now with my ex boyfriend!
Dear all,
I need your kind assistance!
I have learned something that really shocked me. My ex boyfriend has a new girlfriend! (that's fine!). What is not fine to me... is the she is has the same name, colors, details of me!! We are in a small geographic area where my colors are rare. I'have red heir blu eyes freckles. This is not common where a live. There are few people like that.
I found pretty shocking that when I moved to another city he has choose a woman clone of me (i know at least from the outside).
We also have de same exactly NAME. That even more shocking!! He is the one that broke up with me and broke my heart. We had an amazing strong connection but we where totally incapable at the time to build a healthy relationship!!
So now I have to deal with this. There is something inside me that it is telling me that this is not a coincidence.
I feel now obsessed in knowing what's the meaning of that. If I'm related to this somehow.
What is the meaning of that?
