Hello all,

New to the Yi, just began exploring it last week. I've let my question and response roll around in my head for a few days, but could use some more experienced user's opinions as I feel the response is slightly contradictory.

Background.
I'm at a bit of a crossroads: after quitting a job I disliked (and being told I was near being let go anyway) I learned I had a tumor just a week later. Surgery was quickly performed and I've been resting up, exploring the Yi since. Side note: I learned the tumor was cancerous yesterday, but thankfully did not spread. When I had asked last week if I had cancer, the response was 26 changing to 25. This felt fairly straightforward given the attitude I held regarding my situation and state of not knowing. With this time on my hands, I've been questioning the path I'm on and if now is the time to pursue my creative strengths as a sustaining career.

I asked: How can I best direct my creative energy for success? Answer: 54 changing to 35. Changes on 1st, 2nd and 6th line. Using the Wilhem I found 35 to be straightforward, but 54 has been more of a head scratcher as it seems to be both negative and positive.

My initial reaction to the judgement of the marrying maiden was: you won't find success with your creative energy. But the 1st and 2nd lines threw me off as they seemed to be suggesting patience and time would lead to progress. But 6 seems to suggest that attempting to make sacrifices to pursue my creative passions would be empty gestures. After reading the Wilhem, my feeling on 6 then became: you should stick to serious issues you are concerned about and be serious in your treatment, rather than resorting to irony or humor. This was once again thrown in doubt when I read the Book 3 analysis, which suggests a marriage is impossible even with sacrifice.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
