I thought this was an interesting play on words from the Yi...
I decided I want to use half of my vacation next year to do an intensive retreat at The Monroe Institute. The retreat is Robert Monroes original, flagship program on the exploration of human consciousness called, Gateway Voyage. Its a foundational course, using brain-wave entrainment and meditation-like techniques to explore deeper dimensions of consciousness.
If I book 6 months out, I save $400. So I found two dates that put me in that range. Unsure of which one to choose, I asked Yi:
Gateway in April?
Yi: 36.4>55
Entering into the left belly,
Catching the heart of brightness hidden.
And going out through the gate from the courtyard.
I took this as a definitive yes! Ive heard the use of the word arrow as whats entering into the left belly. We can focus much like an arrow with our consciousness. I feel like to catch the heart of brightness hidden is like being able to use consciousness in a more self-actualized way, with purpose and more mastery. The heart of brightness hidden could be consciousness itself or spirit. Going out through the gate from the courtyard sounds like consciousness moving into another dimension, such as consciousness that is generally localized to this reality and frequency moves beyond it to another.
From wikiwing:
Another choice to go into the dark, this time perhaps by way of emotions and gut feelings. A story: going into the darkest place, getting to the heart of the thing maybe both what threatens the light and the nature of the hidden light itself and getting out again. Taking what you grasped at the heart of things, maybe motivated by it. Often the escape itself is key: the most important thing is to get out of this dark place unscathed.
36 zhi Hexagram 55: the decisive moment. Voluntarily enter into the darkness to apprehend the heart of it; decisively take this new awareness out into the world.
55 has a zenith-like feelseeing from a higher vantage point or a larger perspective. Dekorne calls it Expansion of Awareness.
The fan yao, 55.4, adds an interesting layer.
From wikiwing:
At Feng you are screened
Sun at noon, seeing the Dipper.
Meeting your hidden lord,
Good fortune.'
It's dark, but you can see the Dipper - including the pole star. You can orient yourself.
Meeting your hidden lord, your Yi lord - as in the name of Hexagram 36, Ming Yi, Brightness Hidden/Wounded. A hidden lord: someone/ something from the dark, not an obvious ally, something you fear.
All of 55.4s experiences in wikiwing are really insightful. Rosada has a really interesting take on this line that makes it feel a bit synchronistic for me:
I was curious about the work of Abraham Maslow, the psychologist who is particularly known for his Hierarchy of Needs table which describes the needs a person must fulfill before they can "self-actualize" as in become the creative person they were meant to be. His work caught my interest when I recognized that his various "levels" corresponded to the chakras. I asked the I Ching what was Maslow's core message or insight, what did he intend his work contribute? I received 55.4 - 36 - again an example of this hexagram line describing a doctor who shows what needs to be healed. (Rosada)
I just had a flash of insight that connects gateway and consciousness with the Law of One materials information on the gateway to intelligent infinity. I just had this image of its location in the third eye or crown, which brought me back to 36.4s leaving the gate[way] through the courtyard. I see an image of a soul or consciousness opening the door or leaving the gateway of intelligent infinity to higher realmsin that, opening this gateway is a major step in the spiritual path of awakening.
Concerning chakras and levels, the 4th line is the place of the heart; entering the left belly is either the sacral or solar plexus chakras; and leaving the gate from the courtyard is the third eye or crown chakra.
36.4 also gave me the idea that maybe some part of me may be actualized or healed. Or maybe I might discover hidden talents through exploration of different dimensions of consciousness. Maybe through this training I would be catching the heart of brightness hidden, which might be the infinite intelligence of the Infinite Creator.
All food for thought. Just wanted to add this to the record. After the retreat, Ill have an even better idea of what this means and will update.

You can search intelligent infinity or even certain historical figures, like FDR or Hitler.
