I recently signed a contract with a job I am afraid to take for a number of good reasons: it is far away and too much is unknown. Suddenly, however, I find myself being interviewed for another job that is much closer and much more in my field. Job #1 expects me to travel very soon. I don't like letting people down, but on the other hand Job #2 marks what looks like a good opportunity for growth in a different and better direction (the arts, which is dear to me).
I hope I am not just reading what I want to hear, but it seems like Stripping Away and its lines means it is indeed best to cut the first contract now and pursue the second offer, with no great injury to either party. It looks like Job #2 will be the much better fit for me. Agreed, or am I missing something?
