Which way do I read my Hex

I carried out the 3 coin cast method, the first 3 casts where 6 6 6 followed by 3 casts 777 so lower canon 12 upper cannon 1. My question is which number is my Hex is it 12 or 1, do I start with upper cannon and meet up with lower in the chart, or lower to upper. Hope this makes sense Thank you 🙏
