Hi all,
It's that time of year again... for me to start freaking out about freelance work. I've been applying everywhere, but I have a weird schedule because I am teaching part-time (which pays next to nothing).
It seems like no one wants to pay my rate or work with my schedule. I have been FURIOUSLY just emailing everyone I know and joining every forum I know of and applying for everything. I have a few painting sales that may come through soon-ish, but I am just really anxious about finding something ongoing that can float me.
I asked very simply: "When will I find a new job"
I got 53.2.3. I feel like 53.2 is promising, but 53.3 makes me nervous.
Does anyone have any insights for this? I am pretty clueless as to "when" questions, but it seems like some on the forum are very good with this. I do have an interview with an old employer on Thursday. I am just concerned that they won't be willing to pay my rate since I haven't worked with them in several years, and my rate has increased considerably. I realized that maybe saying "new" job is problematic in relationship to this possibility, so I asked also:
"What is the likelihood that X will rehire me at an appropriate rate?"
I got 14.2, which sounds very good.
Then I asked "What is the likelihood I will sell some paintings soon?" I think this sounds very good actually.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance for your insights.
