the truth!

I would appreciate if you can help me to figure this out.
I haven't consult the i Ching for months, but now i need you help!

There is something in my past that is hunting me. It is about a really ambiguous situation that i have experience in the past, that is chasing me because I don't know the truth! Now i feel it is time to know it. There is someone that can tell me the truth, but he is someone that it is really difficult to have a conversation that goes beyond the surface. (he is the source of all this ambiguity and frustration)
I contact him recently to see if something was changed and see if a real and deep conversation was possibile. He is open but So far it is still a superficial kind of talk, but Not form my side. I open myself to forgiveness and I told him.

Now I dont' know what to do. If keep going with this approach and ask him directly for the truth or, after have shown him my openness, live it up to him to show me the truth! I don't want to force anything.
