Firstly I am enjoying reading the forums and learning about the Yi. In fact I have ordered Karcher's Symbolic Life because I'm getting so much out of this and hope to be able to give back as I learn more.
I did a cast asking why a particular situation is occurring in my life right now, a shakeup of a friendship in which nothing externally seems to have changed except that we barely speak anymore. (A lot of my work and personal relationships are under the microscope lately; it seems to be a theme maybe of rearranging their importance, setting new boundaries or maybe karmically they're just over and I don't get the message. I'm 46 years old and have made some big lifestyle changes so maybe it's just a midlife thing. I don't know.)
I received in answer to my query 32.4.6 changing to 64, which I interpret as that things are not finished with this person yet, indicating vacillations in my character (line 4, which happened in the past and since I have tried my best to remedy), or maybe it's the other person's character? -- and worrying about all of this too much (line six). The 64 advises to stop looking for the bow on the package so to speak. The cut-and-dry answer because it isn't cut and dried. Maybe.
I asked finally if this person is really in fact a friend and got 36.2 changing to 11. I've never understood hexagram 36 very well especially the cryptic translations. 11 I understand a bit better. I'm guessing that the horse in 36.2 has something to do with crossing the stream in 11.2. Maybe balanced motion.
How is my interpretation? Any insights? Maybe this will help someone else too. Thanks.
